Environmental-oriented thinking and behaviour is a firm element of our daily work. In our company, environmental policy is a preventive measure considering aspects of environmental protection as early as in the conceptual design phases of a product.
We are aiming at an integrated “all-aspects approach” for our environmental protection effort, thus covering all areas of activity.
Before final release of new laws or regulations we take a thorough look at the status of new forthcoming requirements. This takes place within the scope of working groups, by the central environmental agent of the Diehl Group, professional associations or other technical institutes.
This approach ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and consistent improvement of the company's environmental protection system.
The following guidelines are applied:
- Minimum detrimental effects of our products on the environment
- Minimization of undesired emissions in all exhaust lines and waste water and eliminate residual pollution in the soil to the largest extent economically feasible
- Observation of and follow-up on environmental duties as a management task
- Encouragement our employees´ environmental consciousness
- Implementation of environmental tasks together with the authorities in a spirit of mutual confidence
- Cooperation with authorities to prepare emergency plans in order to minimize emission risks resulting from accidents
- Constant reviews and audits of our suppliers and their respective skills to ensure their responsiveness in all areas of environmental protection
- Our activities in the field of environmental protection are complemented by an unrestricted, open-minded information policy vis-à-vis the public community, with a view to creating a confidence-building communication basis
