The 40mm family is a newly developed insensitive ammunition for engagement of infantry point targets beneath camouflage and – through airburst – behind cover. It can be fired from all 40mm automatic grenade launchers. The pyrotechnical self-destruction of fragmentation and shaped-charge ammunition ensures that no duds remain in the terrain in case of unfavorable impact conditions. Thus, the ammunition of Diehl BGT Defence meets the criteria of the Oslo and Dublin  conventions.

PELE® is a new type of gun ammunition technology without fuze and explosive. The combination of two materials of different density allows fragmentation of the projectile in the target even without using an explosive or a fuze. The penetration, response and fragmentation performance achieved are considerably higher than that of conventional ammunition. PELE® is a joint product of Rheinmetall and Diehl BGT Defence.

For the OTO Melara 76mm L/62 naval gun,Diehl BGT Defence has developed a complete ammunition family, based on the 76mm x 636 cartridge. All cartridges are characterized by a uniform flight path whose exterior ballistics meet NATO standards as well as NATO environmental and safety requirements.
